Project created in 2014 in Belo Horizonte/MG to promote, encourage and disseminate the Blues genre in Brazil, with the cultural exchange of genuine American blues artists and from different countries with artists from the Brazilian scene that previously did not pass through the city. Rota do Blues performs the inclusion of genuine Blues artists in concert halls throughout Brazil and in various events and festivals of the genre, in addition to having its editions and its own Festival. In the Rota do Blues casting there are exclusive Blues artists: American, artists from other countries and some of the main artists of the national and local Blues scene. We’ve done shows/tours with: Jimmy Burns (USA), Lurrie Bell (USA), Birdlegg (USA), Michael Dotson (USA), Harmonica Hinds (USA), Omar Colleman (USA), Maurice John Vaughn, Lil Jimmy Reed ( USA), Terry Harmonica Bean (USA), Lorenzo Thompson (USA), Breezy Rodio (USA), Little Joe McLerran (USA), The Royal Hounds (USA), Super Chikan (USA), Alma Thomas (USA), Xime Monzon (ARG), Quique Gomez (ESP), Los Mind Lagunas (MEX), The Headcutters (BRA), Audergang (BRA), Affonsinho (BRA), Alexandre da Mata & The Black Dogs (BRA), Otávio Rocha (BRA), Netto Rockefeller (BRA), Sérgio Duarte (BRA), Álamo Leal (BRA), Flávio Guimarães (BRA), Ivan Mariz (BRA), Giba Byblos, Zé Pretim Blueman (BRA), The Lee Gang (BRA), MOJO (BRA) ), among other artists. Rota do Blues was proposed with the intention of inserting Belo Horizonte in the route of the great artists of the genre. But over time the proposal was expanded and we toured 8 states in the country with shows in more than 30 cities and presentations at the main Festivals of the genre. Whether with the Rota do Blues Project in different editions throughout the year, or with the Rota do Blues Festival itself or with concerts by our artists.
